Job summary

GrayWolf is seeking a Field Engineer in Sealy, TX for a development-focused role on heavy industrial projects. You will work with owners, engineers, and field teams to plan work and resolve field issues, with a clear path toward Project Manager.

You will interact with customers and suppliers, oversee field activities, support scheduling and controls, and ensure work aligns with contract documents and safety standards on a full-time site basis.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management with 2+ years of multidisciplinary construction experience OR 5+ years in industrial construction environments.
• NCCER Certifications preferred but not required.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with owners, engineers, and estimators to prepare, review, or validate project estimates, scopes of work, and contracts.
• Provide oversight of field activities to ensure installations meet contract documents and quality standards, on schedule and within budgets.
• Coordinate construction activities with Owners, Engineers, or OEMs, including ongoing owner operations and other construction activities by others.
• Monitor productivity and verify earned value for progress payments, updates, and contractor claims.
• Recognize and initiate key steps in the Change Order Management process.
• Update project schedules and generate status reports.
• Act as front-line technical liaison for Owner and Engineers.
• Provide technical analysis and recommendations to GrayWolf frontline supervision.
