Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for a major interstate widening project in the Savannah, GA area. You'll manage submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking, while coordinating with field teams, subcontractors and DOT inspectors to keep the schedule on track.

This role offers a clear path to Senior Project Engineer, hands-on field exposure, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a large national contractor backlog in Southeast highway and bridge work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related field.
• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway/bridge/DOT projects.
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup.
• Track cost against budget and assist with monthly cost reports.
• Update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend real time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
