Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking a Project Engineer for a major interstate widening project in the Savannah, GA area. This role targets professionals with highway or bridge field experience who want a long runway to grow into Senior Project Engineer.

You’ll manage submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking, while coordinating with DOT inspectors, subcontractors and suppliers on field actions. A multiyear assignment offers real advancement potential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Bridge experience and state DOT exposure are pluses.
• EIT is a plus.
• Based in Savannah area or willing to relocate for a multiyear project.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup.
• Track cost against budget and assist with monthly cost reports.
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
