Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Project Engineer for a large national heavy civil contractor on a multiyear interstate widening project in the Savannah, GA area. You will handle submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking, and support the Senior Project Engineer and Superintendent in field operations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of highway, bridge or DOT project experience, a Civil Engineering degree, working knowledge of Primavera P6, and a willingness to spend real time in the field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup.
• Track cost against budget and help with monthly cost reports.
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend real time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
