Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Project Engineer for a major interstate widening project in the Savannah, GA area. You will support field and office teams with submittals, RFIs, quantity takeoffs and cost tracking while coordinating with DOT inspectors and subcontractors.

This role offers a strong long-term path from Project Engineer to Senior Project Engineer, a company vehicle and full benefits package, plus ongoing training and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Bridge experience and DOT project experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and assist with monthly cost reports.
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
