Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a Project Engineer in the Tampa, FL area to manage engineering and project controls for heavy civil highway and bridge work across Florida. The role targets professionals with 5–8 years in civil construction who can lead multiple activities and work with FDOT projects and subcontractors.

You'll own scheduling, cost forecasting, change orders, and document control, interfacing with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects on track and on budget.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in civil construction (office & field).
• Experience reviewing contracts and specifications in detail.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel and Word.
• FDOT project experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Review the contract and specifications in their entirety
• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on day to day project needs
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6
• Track quantities, project costs and forecasting
• Get pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy
• Keep NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, survey staking and joint measurements with the owner on track
