Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a Project Engineer for our heavy civil construction team. This on-site role supports the Project Team to plan and manage construction engineering projects and ensure timely progress per policies.

You will interpret drawings and technical info for the team, coordinate material orders, manage RFIs/submittals, assist with change orders, and monitor safety and scheduling at the regional office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in construction management, estimating, operations or engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field required; continuing education desirable.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required; FE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support construction engineering projects with the Project Team to meet deadlines.
• Interpret drawings, specs and technical information for the project team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure standards.
• Coordinate delivery of permanent materials and manage purchase orders and subcontracts to meet on-time, cost-effective goals.
• Manage RFI and submittal process and maintain project control logs.
• Process owner billings and project-related accounting tasks.
• Assist with Change Orders and related documentation.
• Monitor safety and project schedule for activities requiring safety measures.

Heavy civil experience

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related

OSHA 30-hour certification

FE certification preferred
