On-Site Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction

Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking an eager, hard-working Project Engineer to support our heavy civil construction projects from the regional office. This on-site role focuses on planning, coordination, and delivering projects to meet deadlines while upholding our safety and quality standards.

You will work with the Project Team to interpret drawings, manage RFI/submittals, scheduling, and cost control, with training provided to develop professional and personal skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction management or engineering, heavy civil experience preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour required.
• FE certification preferred.
• Experience with contract administration systems and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Manager and Superintendent to plan schedules and resources for construction projects.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and technical information and disseminate to the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Identify, order and coordinate delivery of permanent materials and finalize purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Manage the RFI and submittal process and maintain project control logs in CMiC.
• Process owner billings and project-related accounting tasks.
• Assist Project Manager with development of Change Orders and related documentation.
• Monitor safety and maintain project safety files and review the schedule for activities requiring safety measures.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related field
