Job summary

Wohlsen Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer to support project teams and ensure construction projects run smoothly and on schedule. This role offers a pathway toward broader leadership responsibilities, including project management, with a focus on effective coordination and documentation.

You will manage submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project communications, while maintaining files, schedules, and safety compliance across active projects in the Baltimore area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction technology, engineering, or related field or equivalent construction experience.
• Familiarity with Primavera Scheduling, SureTrak, MS Project, Timberline, Asta Powerproject and CMiC is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and process submittals and RFIs for timely distribution.
• Prepare meeting minutes, interoffice memos, and client/vendor communications.
• Coordinate bid package process to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Assist in preparation, distribution, and monitoring of project billings (draws).
• Maintain accurate project files and logs (AIA change orders, permits, submittals, RFIs).
• Collaborate with Project Manager to develop and update project schedules.
• Attend project meetings and support team communication.
• Maintain close-out documents including O&M manuals.
• Uphold safety program compliance and participate in safety inspections.
