Job summary

Powers & Sons Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.

Responsibilities include RFIs/submittals documentation, schedule tracking, meeting minutes, and coordination with field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Internship or co-op in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with day-to-day project coordination and administration.
• Support the management of RFIs, submittals, drawings, and project documentation.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and material deliveries.
• Attend project meetings and prepare meeting notes and action items.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Assist with quality control and safety compliance efforts.
• Help maintain accurate project records and reporting.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and documentation.
• Learn and apply construction management best practices and company procedures.
