Job summary

Harlan Electric Company is seeking a Project Engineer to manage data for project readiness, coordinate subcontractor purchase orders, and handle payments for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. The role emphasizes compliance, document control, and cross‑functional coordination within electrical construction teams.

Responsibilities include PO entry, process ownership, reviewing addenda, vendor quotes, and using client systems for documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in document control, or construction project support
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and file management systems
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents
• Collaborative team player with proactive communication

Responsibilities

• Purchase order entry and setup on behalf of project managers
• Own process from start through finish
• E1 expertise
• MYR compliance to process
• Review subcontractor addenda and contract documents
• Validate all documentation is current and compliant prior to project start
• Support schedule development and milestone tracking for pre- construction activities
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for completeness and compliance
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients on subcontractor compliance
• Utilize client systems for document submission and tracking

• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of all purchase orders
