Job summary

Harlan Electric Company is seeking a Transmission & Distribution Estimator to prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation construction projects. You will develop complex estimates, reference historical data, and coordinate with customers, vendors, and field teams to ensure accurate bid packages and timely submissions.

The role requires understanding electrical drawings, materials, and installation methods, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years estimating experience or relevant construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete cost estimates for assigned projects (transmission, distribution, substation).
• Develop complex estimates with minor errors/omissions.
• Utilize bidding history to establish production assumptions.
• Prepare billing per customer requirements and execute change orders.
• Create/maintain a construction schedule and coordinate pre-bid meetings.
