Job summary

Harlan Electric Company seeks a Project Manager to oversee cost estimates and operational oversight for electrical transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects. You will prepare schedules, perform field takeoffs, and manage costs while coordinating with clients and internal teams for on-time, on-budget delivery.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of PM or estimating experience in the electrical sector and a degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management and/or estimating experience in the electrical industry preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project construction schedules
• Submit 'Requests for Information' to clients
• Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects
• Act as the main point-of-contact for project personnel
• Prepare complete cost estimates (labor and material) for projects within set deadlines
• Review and monitor job costs versus budgets
• Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progress reports and billing information
• Coordinate meetings, schedule updates, deliverables, and address outstanding items
