Harlan Electric Company is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate data for project readiness and manage subcontractor purchase orders and payments on transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

You will support document control, ensure compliance, and collaborate with internal teams and clients to keep projects on schedule and within budget. This role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and effective communication in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in document control, or construction project support.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and file management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents.
• Collaborative team player with proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Purchase order entry and setup on behalf of project managers.
• Own process from start through finish.
• E1 expertise.
• MYR compliance to process.
• Review subcontractor addenda and contract documents.
• Validate all documentation is current and compliant prior to project start.
• Support schedule development and milestone tracking for pre-construction activities.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients on subcontractor compliance.
• Utilize client systems for document submission and tracking.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of all purchase orders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the subcontractor and purchase order processes.
• Document retention.
• Subcontractor support.
• Other as assigned.
