Abbott Construction in Seattle, WA seeks a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent through all project phases, handling submittals, RFIs, change orders, budgeting in Viewpoint, and safety aligned with Abbott's core values.

The role covers planning, scheduling, coordinating projects to meet deadlines, and assisting estimating by coordinating subcontractors and distributing plans. May assume PM duties when required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug test.
• 4-year degree in construction-related major.
• 1+ years of project engineering experience; healthcare construction and fast-paced multi-project experience preferred.
• Focus on processes, ownership, and clear communication even when delivering bad news.

Responsibilities

• Manage the submittal process.
• Manage the RFI process.
• Manage the change order proposal process.
• Provide research, backup support, legwork, data entry as requested by PM and Supt.
• Complete budget revisions in Viewpoint as required.
• Support planning, scheduling and coordinating projects to meet deadlines.
• Assist estimating by soliciting subcontractors and distributing plans.
• Be main contact for subcontractors as requested by PM.
• Act as Project Manager when PM unavailable if needed.
