Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two or more years of commercial construction experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Understands construction laws, codes, and blueprint reading.
• Maintains ethics and corporate policies.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Team player who can mentor others.
• Ability to plan actions, allocate resources, and manage schedules.
• Professional affiliations and credentials preferred (e.g. PE).
• Spanish basics for construction context preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, project budgets, and unit cost reports.
• Organize and conduct pre-construction planning meetings.
• Negotiate subcontracts and manage change orders.
• Develop project management plans and execution strategies.
• Review plans and specs for completeness and consistency.
• Coordinate permits and regulatory requirements.
• Develop project schedules with milestones and updates.
• Manage payments, liens, and billings per contract terms.
• Oversee procurement, quality, safety, and risk plans.
• Mentor project and field engineers and oversee submittals/ RFIs.
