Job summary

Baker Construction seeks a Project Engineer to support field activities and assist the Project Manager with project administration across multiple small projects or a few larger ones. You will help manage cost, schedules, constructability, quality, safety, procurement, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with field teams and pre-construction staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration, attention to budgeting, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years' of experience or 6 years' of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Generates and obtains approvals of monthly billing and earned values.
• Develops and manages the project schedule on small or mid-sized projects.
• Analyzes targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports.
• Alerts the Superintendent and Project Manager of project impact relating to resource management.
• Generates estimates of change orders and interfaces with pre-construction on original bids.
• Leads LEAN/SQP committee and identifies improvement opportunities.
