Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc seeks a Project Engineer to support field activities and partner with the Project Manager on project administration across multiple small projects or a larger project. You will help manage cost, schedule, quality, safety, and procurement, ensuring compliance and timely project turnover.

The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office and construction software, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 2 years' experience.
• Alternatively, 6 years' construction-related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Generates and manages monthly billing and earned value tracking.
• Develops and maintains the project schedule for small to mid-sized projects.
• Analyzes cost targets, job cost summaries, and other reports.
• Alerts leadership to project impacts related to resources and crew composition.
• Prepares and updates budgets; reviews weekly cost summaries for Project Manager.
• Coordinates procurement plans and prepares RFIs, bid analyses, and procurement documents.
• Leads coordination with pre-construction and project team on transitions and procurement.
• Creates material quantity take-offs and scoping documents to support purchasing.
• Issues and reviews supplier quotes, recommends procurement decisions to PM.
• Gathers financial data for monthly project financial reviews and reports.
