Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support field activities and project administration across multiple small to mid-size projects. You will help manage cost, schedule, procurement, and contract compliance under the Project Manager’s guidance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong analytical and teamwork skills. Travel up to 25% is possible, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years construction experience or 6 years related experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate and approve monthly billing and earned value reports.
• Develop and manage project schedules for small to mid-size projects.
• Analyze targets, costs, and reports to guide decisions.
• Coordinate with Superintendent and PM on budgets and changes.
• Prepare procurement plans and oversee procurement activity.
• Assist with turnover, closeouts, and as-built records.
• Support LEAN/SQP initiatives and subcontractor compliance.
