McShane Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer in Nashville, TN. You will support preconstruction, project controls, scheduling, QA/QC, and safety programs while developing skills to lead meetings.

The role emphasizes client communication, subcontractor coordination, and adherence to budgets and quality standards. The position requires a BS in a related field, strong communication, and proficiency with Salus, PlanGrid, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (internship preferred).
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, design consultants and trade partners.
• Fully proficient with construction management software including Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Full-time, in-office position; Valid U.S. Driver’s License and work authorization in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Review project drawings to understand scope and details.
• Assist bid evaluation by reviewing subcontractor proposals and scope.
• Manage project controls documents: RFIs, submittals, drawings, minutes, punch lists, closeouts.
• Ensure safety, timeliness, and budget adherence across multiple lifecycles.
• Support schedule development and updates; participate in safety briefings and site audits.
