Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer (MEP) to lead multiple commercial construction projects. You will coordinate daily with PMs, PMAs, field crews, customers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure information and resources are available for success.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering with 2+ years in commercial construction, plus strong communication, multitasking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Occasional site visits and travel are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years in commercial construction
• Innovative management techniques to maximize team performance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential

Responsibilities

• Maintains project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization
• Creates and maintains internal project schedules
• Prepares submittals based on drawings, specs, and vendor info
• Coordinates with architect/engineer and project team
• Assists PMs with change request backups
• Completes required close-out documents per contract
• Distributes contract documents to subcontractors and vendors
• Schedules construction meetings with team and clients
• Attends pre-bid, project and closeout meetings
• Solicits subcontractors and suppliers for proposals
• Prepares client/architect/engineer correspondence
• Submits building permit applications and follows up
• Supports quality, schedule, budget, and safety objectives
• Documents progress and notifies management of issues
