Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades seeks an experienced Project Engineer to join an EPC firm that self-performs much of the construction for utility-scale solar projects. Position requires 100% travel across the Southeast and West Texas; new grads are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include organizing project elements, defining objectives, assigning resources, and managing schedules and costs. Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling tools is expected; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline required.
• Spanish-speaking a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software, Primavera (P6) or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
• Develops project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and conferring with management.
• Assigns personnel to project phases and reviews bids from contractors.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design and customer requirements.
• Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.
• Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
• Determines project schedule by studying plans, time requirements and sequencing.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress and coordinating activities.
• Controls project plan by reviewing design and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
• Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contracts.
• Prepares project status reports by collecting and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains project data base by writing computer programs and backing up data.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) firm that self-performs a significant portion of the construction for utility-scale solar projects. This position requires 100% travel, primarily throughout the Southeast and extending as far as West Texas. Recent college grads are encouraged to apply.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary starts at $75,000, please let us know what you desire, since salary is negotiable depending on experience
• Annual bonus of 10%, possible 10% kicker on top of the first 10%

Requirements for Project Engineer
