Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Cost Engineer to assist in developing and managing the project financial strategy. You will work with the project management team to manage budgets, costs, change orders, pricing requests, billings, and forecasts.

You will generate and maintain reports for different groups, identify variances and risks, ensure quality control of cost procedures, and support cost engineering, estimation, and forecast reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business, engineering, or construction management.
• 0–3 years of project cost experience.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of project development stages, procurement, project controls, and construction execution practices is required.
• Working knowledge of PMWeb or similar project portfolio management software, DataServ, Excel, JD Edwards, or related software programs.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Results oriented and deliver on customer commitments.

Responsibilities

• Support development and management of the project financial strategy.
• Collaborate with project management to manage budgets, costs, change orders, and forecasts.
• Generate and maintain reports for various stakeholders.
• Identify variances, risks, and ensure quality control in cost procedures.
• Ensure integrity of cost and forecast reporting.
• Coordinate with accounting, subcontractors, clients as needed.
