Job summary

First Onsite in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help translate plans into action across multiple projects. You’ll work with leadership to evaluate, develop, and execute scopes of work, review subcontractor proposals, and prepare schedules while keeping projects on track.

You’ll monitor budgets and profit margins, communicate with clients and crews, handle change orders and billing, and ensure safety and quality are maintained every day.

Qualifications

• Relevant leadership experience.
• 2+ years in restoration/construction (water, fire, mold, rebuild).
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Understand, evaluate, develop, and execute the scope of work with leadership.
• Solicit, receive, and approve subcontractor proposals within budget.
• Prepare project schedule with crew and subcontractor timelines.
• Manage, support, and assist job crews.
• Fill in as needed with additional responsibilities, including physical labor.
• Create and maintain job activity paperwork and inventories.
• Maintain a daily log of conditions, activities, and events.
• Prepare reports and administrative documents.
• Monitor budget, gross profit margin, and schedule in real time.
• Manage change orders receipt and approval.
• Perform daily job site safety meetings.
