Job summary

First Onsite Property Restoration in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Assistant Project Manager to turn plans into action, develop scopes of work, and review subcontractor proposals with careful schedules and precise records.

You’ll monitor budgets, margins, and schedules, coordinate with clients and crews, manage change orders and billing, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment, with 24/7 availability when needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in restoration/construction, with experience/knowledge in water, flood, fire, smoke, mold, asbestos, and rebuild remediation
• High school diploma or equivalent; Degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license required; CCS regulations in Indiana may apply for certain healthcare-related roles

Responsibilities

• Understand, evaluate, develop, and execute the scope of work with leadership
• Solicit, receive, and approve proposals from subcontractors to perform work within budget
• Prepare project schedule, including job crew and sub-contractors schedule, according to the scope of work
• Manage, support, and assist job crews
• Fill in as needed when additional responsibilities/tasks need to be completed, including physical labor
• Create and maintain job activity paperwork and jobsite inventories
• Maintain a daily log of conditions, activities, communications, and notable events
• Prepare reports, documentation, and other job-related administrative documents
• Proactively monitor and provide updates when there is risk of a project not meeting expected budget, gross profit margin, or schedule
• Manage receipt and approval of change orders
• Perform or ensure execution of daily job site safety meetings
• Arrange for permits, as needed
• Accurately maintain daily reports, daily sign-in timesheets, equipment records, moisture maps, and material sheets
• Manage a defined scope of work and review opportunities for change orders
• Assist with creating a project schedule
• Issue work orders to subcontractors and manage their scope of work/change orders
• Perform billing reviews to ensure accuracy of data entered
• Available 24/7
