DGR Systems in Tampa, FL seeks a Project Coordinator to own intake and setup for new projects, support active engagements, and coordinate handoffs from sales to delivery. This hands-on role keeps records current and collaborates with PMs, technical teams, and Finance to keep engagements moving.
The position emphasizes ownership growth beyond simple coordination, with opportunities to manage smaller engagements and maintain client communications throughout the project lifecycle.
At DGR Systems, we’re about connecting companies to the right solutions and enabling them to gain the most value from their investments. We go to great lengths to hire great people because, at our core, our clients deserve to have each person working on their project bring qualified expertise, a can‑do attitude, and experience‑based strategic insights to the table. They need to trust their IT consulting firm as a partner who is there to help accelerate their success and not pass them off to a junior team after the contract has been signed. Want to join us?
DGR Systems designs and delivers technology solutions that our clients rely on to run their organizations. Behind every successful engagement is strong coordination. Projects need to start with the right information, stay organized as work progresses, and close with accurate documentation and financial records.
This role goes beyond administrative support. You will own the intake and setup of new projects, support active engagements across the PMO, and grow into independently manage smaller, clearly scoped engagements.
You will report to the PMO Leader and work alongside DGR's Project Managers and technical delivery teams. This is a hands‑on role that directly supports both the client experience and the teams delivering the work.
This role is designed for someone who wants more than a task‑based coordination position. Project Coordinators at DGR are expected to understand what is happening across the engagement, stay ahead of open items, and gradually take on more ownership as their experience grows.
The Project Coordinator plays an important role at the beginning of every new engagement. You will set projects up in our systems, confirm that the right information and documentation are in place, and coordinate the transition from sales into delivery. As projects move forward, you will stay connected with Project Managers, technical teams, Finance, and clients to help keep work organized and moving
The work is varied and often moves quickly. Strong coordination at the beginning of an engagement prevents problems later, and consistent follow‑through helps Project Managers and technical teams stay focused on delivery.
The Project Coordinator is an operational part of the delivery team. The work may happen behind the scenes at times, but its impact is visible throughout the engagement.
This role covers two things that have to work together for any engagement to start and finish cleanly.
You will also keep project records current throughout each engagement, not as a milestone activity but as an ongoing standard. If you went unavailable tomorrow, another team member should be able to pick up any active engagement without calling you first. Keeping that record current is part of the daily work, not something saved for the end of the project.
The Project Coordinator role is the starting point for DGR's PMO career ladder. If you want to grow into a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or beyond, this role is how that path begins at DGR. For employees interested in that path, the role provides opportunities to build the client, delivery, and project management skills needed to grow into a Project Manager.
Career progression is based on demonstrated capability, judgment, delivery quality, and readiness for greater ownership rather than time in role alone. The Coordinators who advance are the ones who treat every engagement, large or small, with the same standard of care. For someone interested in building a career in project management or technology consulting delivery, this role provides a practical starting point with increasing responsibility over time.
