Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated professional to join our Demand Side Management team, supporting both Energy Efficiency and Demand Response programs. This is a high-volume, operationally focused role responsible for processing rebates and administering programs such as Residential Saver Switch, AC Rewards (smart thermostat program), and limited commercial Saver Switch work. The position also provides exposure to EV rebates, energy efficiency rebates, pilot programs, and Windsource enrollments during lower-volume periods. Because rebates and incentives are regulated by the Public Utilities Commission, accuracy and compliance are paramount. Working primarily remotely with one in-office day per week, this individual will thrive in a collaborative yet heads-down environment that rewards strong work ethic, transparency, and a drive to exceed goals.

Responsibilities
  • Process high-volume rebate applications and work orders — numbering in the tens of thousands annually — working from shared Salesforce queues in oldest-to-newest order
  • Validate customer eligibility, equipment qualifications, and incentive amounts to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Review and process applications submitted digitally, via PDF, and through physical mail
  • Coordinate indirectly with third-party vendor Hunt Electric via Salesforce, email, and chat to support program workflows
  • Monitor progress, quotas, and performance metrics using Salesforce dashboards
  • Support both residential and commercial rebate workflows as program volume and seasonality dictate
  • Gather, analyze, and translate program data into clear and concise formats aligned with project management standards
  • Assist in scheduling, documentation, communication, and cost management activities in support of program and project managers
  • Maintain and update project plans, facilitate collaborative documents and shared data stores, and help prepare status reports and presentations
  • Collaborate daily with team members via chat and contribute to a culture of shared accountability and continuous process improvement
  • Provide input to project research and assist with information collection and validation tasks
Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in high-volume processing environments
  • Analytical and data validation skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience working within shared-queue or operational processing systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • Self-driven and highly motivated with the discipline and accountability required for remote work
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with PDFs, document scanning, and file conversion workflows
  • Salesforce experience strongly preferred
  • Process-improvement mindset with a proactive approach to identifying efficiencies
  • Exposure to rebate processing, utility programs, or regulated program environments is a plus
Experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in high-volume, shared-queue environments, operational processing, or program administration
  • Prior data entry or operations experience using modern enterprise systems
  • Experience working within a large corporate or cross-functional organizational environment
  • Utility, energy efficiency, or rebate program experience preferred but not required

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build a meaningful career at the intersection of energy efficiency, sustainability, and utility program operations. You will gain hands-on exposure to regulated programs that directly impact residential and commercial customers, work alongside a supportive and high-performing remote team, and develop expertise in one of the energy industry's most dynamic and growing areas. If you are ambitious, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to clean energy initiatives, this role offers a strong foundation and a clear path for growth.
