Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, proposals and project documentation.
• Coordinate schedules, product availability, and deliveries with internal teams.
• Track progress, deadlines, and outstanding requests in CRM.
• Participate in weekly project meetings and report outstanding items.
• Resolve customer concerns to keep projects moving forward.

Salary Range: $65,000-$82,000 annually

Position Overview

Sterling Engineering is partnering with an established company specializing in architectural cable systems and building materials to hire a Sales & Project Coordinator.

This position is heavily customer-facing and involves coordinating customer inquiries, preparing and following up on quotes and proposals, and ensuring projects move smoothly from initial inquiry through completion.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills, along with experience using CRM systems. Candidates from a variety of industries will be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing customers.
• Follow up on customer inquiries, leads, estimates, quotes, and proposals.
• Work closely with three estimators to support approximately 100-120 incoming leads per month.
• Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements, timelines, and expectations.
• Assist with preparing estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding project schedules, product availability, and deliveries.
• Track project progress, deadlines, and outstanding customer requests.
• Maintain accurate customer information, project records, and follow-up activities in the CRM system.
• Participate in weekly project meetings and provide updates on outstanding items.
• Identify and resolve customer concerns to keep projects moving forward.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales coordination, project coordination, or a related position.
• Strong customer-facing experience, as approximately 50-75% of the role involves customer interaction.
• Experience working with CRM systems required; HubSpot preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Experience with building materials, architectural products, construction, or manufacturing is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a small team.
