Job summary

Linesight in Tempe, Arizona, is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead cost control, scheduling and estimating for major client projects on site. You will guide projects from initial bids through reconciliations, ensuring value, accuracy, and timely delivery.

You will act as a visible onsite leader, manage risk, prepare forecasts and owner estimates, and coordinate with engineers, contractors and clients to keep projects on track and within budget.

Qualifications

• Have successfully performed project controls roles including cost control, scheduling and estimating.
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline.
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assess engineer and contractor bids, change notices and costs to ensure best value for clients
• Assist in preparing client project funding documents
• Be a visible leader onsite, assessing engineer and contractor progress
• Create and manage cost forecasts for key client developments
• Expertly negotiate agreements with pricing agreements with external partners
• Manage and monitor project schedules, reporting on exceptions to the plan
• Prepare owner estimates and lead estimate review meetings
• Proactively lead risk management efforts and reviews
• Support the final reconciliation of contracts and purchase orders
• Update key partners with monthly executive and project status reports, project schedule updates, and project risks
