Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Manager in Mesa, AZ to oversee budget, schedule, document and change management, cost analysis, and benchmarking across complex projects. Travel up to 20% may be required.

You will lead the project controls team, develop master schedules, maintain reporting databases, and provide critical insights to clients and leadership. Strong MS Office and scheduling software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, Building Science, Accounting or Finance or related field preferred.
• 10-15 years of extensive project management experience in large, complex facility construction and on-site management.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced budgeting, accounting, procurement and contract management knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills for estimating, budgeting, cashflow, risk, and benchmarking costs.
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software (Suretrak, Project, P6, PlanGrid, Revit, VICO).
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the Project Management Team to establish project control tools.
• Gather and track budgets, contracts, changes, trends, and costs.
• Develop and maintain the management reporting database for program controls.
• Provide regular progress reports to advise on timelines and costs.
• Maintain project reports per contractual obligations and recommend changes.
• Help establish a master program schedule to meet time and cost constraints.
• Develop and maintain program controls procedures aligned with client needs.
• Provide program data and reports to stakeholders including bond oversight and leadership.
• Monitor funding sources and provide cash flow projections.
• Support hands-on controls work on complex projects and projects in initiation.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc client reports with input from contractors.
• Support variance analysis reporting using MS Project, Access, Primavera, and Excel.
• Present findings to PM team and client with clarity and precision.
• Manage monthly contract status reports (cost, schedule, risk, manpower).
• Oversee change control, baseline updates, and budget alignment.
• Communicate financial status and schedule details across sites.
• Ensure schedule reviews and critical path alignment with contract costs.
• Close out projects, finalize schedules, and reconcile performance against baselines.
• Maintain historical cost databases with budgets, commitments, invoices and forecasts.
• Coordinate accrual analyses with payment processing teams.
• Review invoices versus contract terms; train project teams as needed.
• Support staffing planning for project controls and share best practices.
