Job Title: Project Controls Manager

We are currently providing PM/CM services for the Los Angeles World Airports ATMP Landside Improvements Project, which aims to improve roadways around LAX in preparation for the 2028 Olympics. HDR will manage projects through all phases, from design to closeout, with a team of world-class professionals dedicated to transforming infrastructure for the future.

Role Overview: As Project Controls Manager, you will:

• Manage control teams across scope, cost, schedule, resource, change, and risk activities, including:
• Interpreting, organizing, and coordinating project team assignments
• Mentoring junior staff in project controls systems and practices
• Fostering a productive environment for team growth and accountability
• Maintaining communication with client contacts
• Supporting project management with cost and schedule baselines, updates, and reports
• Ensuring proper resource management
• Preparing financial and progress reports

Anticipate complex project control issues impacting the organization

Plan and schedule project milestones using Primavera P6, analyze schedules, and coordinate engineering and construction activities

Oversee cost estimating, evaluate bids, and manage contract negotiations

Manage project costs, schedules, and risks, including performing risk analysis with Monte Carlo simulations

Develop and maintain project documentation and controls framework

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cost Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• Minimum 10 years' experience in project controls on engineering and construction projects
• Proven leadership in managing large infrastructure projects
• Proficiency with project controls and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, SharePoint, PowerBI)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Certifications in project management, cost, or scheduling are a plus
