Join Our Team!

We are expanding our innovative solutions in nuclear energy and seeking a Project Controls Manager. In this role, you will develop cost and schedule management programs for small modular reactor (SMR) projects from inception through licensing, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, testing, commissioning, and turnover to operations. You will work closely with the Chief Development Officer to ensure project control programs align with project and enterprise procedures. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining project costs and schedule performance within baseline targets and managing variances effectively.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and evaluate cost and schedule baselines, monitor changes, performance, and variances, and identify critical risks.
  2. Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive Project Controls programs, ensuring consistency and integration of best practices.
  3. Coordinate with the CFO and Finance team to ensure accurate performance data supports budgeting and accounting.
  4. Analyze variances and propose mitigation strategies using Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  5. Contribute to proposal efforts related to cost and scheduling activities.
  6. Manage project timelines, identify critical paths, and assist teams in managing schedule flexibility.
  7. Allocate resources across projects efficiently, supervising project controls personnel and contractors.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to monitor and evaluate project performance from planning to delivery.
  9. Identify innovative solutions, including AI applications, to improve project controls systems.
  10. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on project performance data.
  11. Stay current with industry best practices, technological advances, and market trends to foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of experience in project cost and schedule management; nuclear experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM), Primavera P6, and MS Project.
  • Strong independent working skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Motivated to keep projects streamlined, efficient, and within budget.
