Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Controls Manager in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will have prior project controls experience supporting large-scale construction projects.

Essential Job Duties

• Review project activities to support milestones, develop micro-phasing schedules, and coordinate parties to completion.
• Engage with designers, contractors, and third parties to identify and mitigate project risks.
• Review contractor pay applications, ensuring consistency with schedules and progress documents.
• Coordinate cost recording, monitoring, and reporting for compliance and accuracy.
• Develop schedule resource loading, leveling, and monitor schedule activities.
• Provide progress reports and develop communication tools for complex project sequencing.
• Report budget and schedule variances promptly.
• Understand and appreciate technical timeframes, including disciplines like BHS, Power, HVAC, etc.
• Have previous project controls experience on large-scale projects, especially aviation-related projects.
• Be a proactive self-starter with a results-oriented attitude and willingness to assume additional responsibilities.
• Demonstrate success through performance, responsibility, and growth in previous roles.
• Maintain effective communication skills, interface well with diverse teams, and be detail-oriented and organized.
• Inspire the controls team with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
• Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Qualifications

Professional Experience Level

• 15+ years of project controls experience, preferably in a public-sector airport.
• Experience managing large, complex projects with progress reporting methodologies.
• Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is a plus.

Hardware/Software Knowledge

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, industry software like Expedition, Adobe Acrobat, and desirable experience with Primavera P6 and Prolog.

Education/Training

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Additional Information

The salary range is $120K-$175K annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The role offers a hybrid schedule with specific onsite and remote days.
