Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our expanding Project Controls team. This role can be based out of any US office and requires leading cost, schedule, risk, and reporting activities across a large program.

You will develop and maintain program-wide controls processes, dashboards (Power BI), EVM, and financial reporting, and partner with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize cost and schedule performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of combined field and office project controls experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience with dashboard reporting and Microsoft Excel.
• Extensive knowledge of cost estimating methodologies and schedule management best practices.
• Ability to interface with clients and participate in business development initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the project controls across the program, integrating cost, schedule, risk, and reporting.
• Lead development and improvement of program-wide controls processes, governance frameworks, and systems.
• Serve as primary contact for project controls with stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards (Power BI) to monitor cost, schedule, and KPIs.
• Establish cost control procedures across projects with forecasting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction to optimize cost-effectiveness.
• Integrate cost and schedule management with earned value management (EVM).
• Provide clear reports to senior leadership and the client.
• Lead project/program-level meetings on risk, change control, and planning.
• Maintain comprehensive financial reporting across work packages and funding.
• Monitor funding allocations and procurement plans.
• Manage change control processes and assess cost/schedule impacts.
• Oversee estimates, budgets, forecasts, ETC alignment.
