Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist lead engineers with project duties and to apply standard engineering techniques to the design of engineering systems. The role includes updating designs and supporting field operations and project management tasks in the Vancouver, WA area.

The internship requires pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or current enrollment in a related program, with strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field from an accredited program required.
• Or, currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education program in a field related to the work done in the department required.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
