Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to join the Project Controls team on major projects. The role will be located in one of our U.S. locations, Dallas or Tulsa, and will support cost control, budgeting, and reporting initiatives.

The candidate will collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, and stakeholders to ensure data integrity, timely updates, and effective decision-making. Strong Excel skills and experience with project controls systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience supporting project controls, cost controls, project coordination, administration, management, or related functions on capital projects.
• Experience with document management or project records, registers, and checklists to completion.
• Foundational understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP/PMIS systems; familiarity with EcoSys, SAP, Procore, e-Builder, Primavera P6, or MS Project.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain budgets, forecasts, commitments, actual costs, accruals, and financial data in project controls systems.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to collect updates and ensure data is current and recorded.
• Assist with monthly cost tracking, forecast updates, variance analysis, accruals, and project reporting.
• Prepare and distribute project status reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for decision-making.
• Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and resolve data issues with project teams.
• Support project setup activities including work orders, charge codes, document management, and configuration of project controls systems.
• Maintain project document controls, registers, revision status, distribution, and filing; support task tracking and checklists.
• Facilitate communication between Project Managers, Project Controls, Finance, and other stakeholders to align on status, costs, forecasts, and deliverables.
• Assist with change management, invoice tracking, commitment management, and project closeout processes.
