Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Controller/Controls Analyst to oversee budget, cost control, and financial management for multiple projects. The role involves supporting Project Managers, maintaining project life cycles, coordinating invoicing, and delivering variance and month-end reports.

• Understanding contract terms and project accounting methods.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide budget, contract, and financial management support to Project Managers.
• Assist with lifecycle management of projects per client requirements and company guidelines.
• Coordinate with project accounting to ensure timely invoicing per contracts.
• Audit project reports for financial impact and gross margin optimization.
• Assist with monthly forecasts and financial estimates.
• Support project structures (WBS, CBS) for budgeting and setup.
• Perform and manage budget and cost control functions.
• Prepare month-end and variance reports and ad hoc analyses.
• Analyze project data for continuous improvement.
• Complete financial reconciliations as required.
• May train or mentor others over time.
• Manage use of Project Management Information Systems for budgeting, cost control, document control, and reporting.
