Job summary

Stantec seeks a Project Controller/Project Controls Analyst to manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. You will partner with Project Managers across multiple regions to ensure cost controls align with client requirements and company standards.

Role requires experience in budgeting, earned value management, and project accounting, with strong Excel and reporting skills. Occasional travel and collaboration with cross-functional teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
• Understanding of contract commercial terms.
• Familiarity with project accounting methods and requirements.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide budget, contract, and financial management support to Project Managers.
• Assist with lifecycle management of projects per client requirements and guidelines.
• Coordinate with project accounting to ensure timely invoicing per contracts.
• Audit reports for financial impact and gross profit optimization.
• Assist with monthly forecasts and financial estimates.
• Support project budgets and work breakdown structures.
• Prepare month-end and variance reports; ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Deliver insights from project data to support continuous improvement.
• Complete financial reconciliations; train or mentor others as needed.
