Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Project Controls Specialist I to join our team remotely. The role focuses on updating and maintaining project schedules, collecting status updates, and producing reports for project managers and stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Project, Vantagepoint, and Power BI are essential. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of data analysis experience, with a proven ability to communicate clearly

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain project schedules using Project tools.
  • Develop project schedules using templates.
  • Collect status updates from Project Managers and area leaders.

  • Generate project and portfolio level reports as needed.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals who possess an aptitude for organization, strong communication skills and an eye for detail and problem-solving. Attention to detail will be a valued trait for updating project schedules and preparing project reports. The Project Controls Specialist I should be proficient with Project Management software utilizing Gantt charts. The role is responsible for maintaining project schedules using status updates provided by the project team as well as those conveyed through document control systems. This position is remote.As a Project Controls Specialist I, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, curiosity, and continuous growth. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects that drive environmental and infrastructure solutions, while engaging Verdantas employees and clients to understand their needs. Monitoring client document control systems to route project inquiries, review status changes and tracking upcoming deliverables is a key aspect of this position.The Project Controls Specialist I will communicate frequently with project teams and Project Managers to monitor and report on design status, billing status, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Status updates may be collected via redlined .pdf files, email messages, text messages, phone calls, team meetings, or one-on-one conversationsCommunicate project summaries and schedule variance reports with Project ManagersGenerate project and portfolio level reports to share with Project Managers and project team as neededSubmitting, downloading, and/or updating forms, paperwork, etc. on external and internal document control systemsWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s Degree1+ Year of Data Analysis ExperienceStrong Communication SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Suite – particularly ExcelPast/Current experience as a project accountant, project controls or project managementExperience in Microsoft Project, Vantagepoint, Power BI, Scheduling or similar programsSalary Range:The starting salary for this position is $55,600.00 with final compensation determined based on qualifications and licensing status.Benefits:Flexible Work Environment401(k) with Company MatchVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
