Job summary

Verdantas is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead environmental projects in Ohio with hybrid work flexibility. The role involves Phase II ESAs, sampling across media, and preparing technical reports and regulatory submissions.

You will mentor staff, support proposals, and act as a primary client contact while applying Ohio EPA frameworks and BUSTR guidance to deliver compliant, data-driven solutions for complex infrastructure challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, Ohio VAP, and BUSTR.
• Experience leading Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental projects from scoping through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance.
• Oversee and conduct Phase II ESAs.
• Direct soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, and stormwater sampling.
• Prepare technical reports, permits, and regulatory approvals.
• Serve as a key client contact and mentor junior staff.
• Support business development and proposal efforts.
• Regulatory-facing leadership in Ohio EPA frameworks.
• Mentorship, staff supervision, and project/program oversight.
