Job summary

Verdantas is hiring in environmental consulting and sustainable engineering. The role entails field sampling across multiple media, involvement in Phase I/II ESAs, and data-backed reporting. You will support budget tracking, regulatory evaluations, and collaborative remediation efforts with a team of experts.

Qualifications include a BS in a science field, 1–2 years of related experience, and proficiency with MS Office. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass screenings are required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field activities and collect samples from soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air.
  • Participate in Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments and investigations.
  • Prepare invoices, budgets, and track project budgets.
  • Compile, reduce, and interpret data for reports.
  • Evaluate environmental regulations and assist in reporting.
  • Coordinate tasks and support remedial design efforts.

What You’ll Do:
  • Conduct field activities, including collecting samples of various environmental media (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air)
  • Participate in environmental investigation programs, including Phase l/ll Environmental Site Assessments
  • Invoice/budget preparation and budget tracking
  • Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
  • Evaluate environmental regulations
  • Prepare environmental reports
  • Contractor liaison/oversight for investigation and remedial programs
  • Problem-solving using standard engineering / scientific methods
  • Coordinate project tasks, implementing fieldwork, participating in remedial design efforts
  • Demonstrate effective analytical, interpretive, time, and project management skills
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering, geology, or a science-related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of products
  • Able to conduct some fieldwork with heavy lifting
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00
