Job summary

Verdantas in Dover, Delaware seeks an entry-level Civil/Environmental Engineer to support water resources and civil infrastructure projects. The role involves assisting with health and safety plans, data collection, and the preparation of technical specifications under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, may have EIT/FE, and has 0–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater or related field
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
• 0–2 years of civil engineering experience, particularly water and wastewater
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with AutoCAD; ArcGIS a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist with health and safety plans and implement them per client requirements
• Collect and help interpret data through research, field observations, measurements, and testing
• Assist in preparing detailed plans and technical specifications
• Perform computations and process data using computer software
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation
• Perform other engineering tasks under supervision of senior engineers
