Job summary

Artheon is seeking a Project Biller to join our Berlin, NJ accounting team. This role focuses on billing for engineering and consulting projects, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing, while collaborating with Project Managers to maintain financial health of a diverse portfolio.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in accounting or project billing, strong Excel skills, and experience with AP/AR processes; familiarity with Deltek VantagePoint is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting or project billing experience, preferably within the AEC industry.
• Experience with project billing and invoicing.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Experience reviewing employee timesheets and expense reports.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete project billing process for transportation engineering projects.
• Partner with Project Managers to support the financial management and billing of a diverse portfolio of transportation projects.
• Help maintain financial accuracy across DOT, Turnpike Authority, township, design, structural, and construction management projects.
• Process invoices and maintain billing schedules.
• Review timesheets and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Perform credit card reconciliation and other monthly accounting activities.
• Generate monthly revenue reports and support project financial reporting.
• Monitor job costs against budget and collections to determine project status.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure timely and accurate billing.
