Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an Accountant II in Orlando, FL to support project finance, fixed assets, and month-end close. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting while partnering with Finance teams to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 3+ years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Dynamics 365 and Excel. Hybrid schedule with Friday WFH options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with project accounting.
• Experience with fixed assets, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems like Dynamics 365.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries, including fixed assets and depreciation.
• Reconcile fixed assets, construction in progress, inventory, and related accounts.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze projects and reconcile to general ledger for 100+ projects.
• Research discrepancies and prepare corrective entries when needed.
• Assist audits and ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Document accounting processes and support process improvements.
