Job summary

W.E. O’Neil Construction is seeking a Project Accountant in Austin, TX to support project accounting and administrative duties.

You will prepare pay applications, manage subcontractor invoices, and ensure timely and accurate payments while coordinating with National Accounting and Operations. The role reports to the Regional Project Accounting Manager and requires collaboration with multiple departments to maintain financial accuracy across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction or project-based accounting.
• Strong understanding of job costing, subcontractor billing, and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare owner pay applications and budgets adjustments for SOVs and line items.
• Coordinate pay apps, subcontractor invoices, and approvals in Textura and CMiC.
• Review and maintain project closing logs and month-end/year-end deadlines.
• Support audits with documentation and cross-team coordination.
