Job summary

Austin Commercial, part of Austin Industries, is seeking an Accountant I for our North Texas Division. This role supports the accounting/finance team with accurate financial records and month-end activities in a 100% employee-owned company.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years of experience, with CPA/CCIFP a plus and sponsorship not available. Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, budget development, variance analysis, and assisting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field is required.
• 0–2 years of accounting/finance experience is expected.
• Master’s degree, CCIFP and/or CPA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes month-end activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Performs contract profit reviews and SG&A analyses.
• Assists with budgets, forecasts, and projections; prepares periodic reports and financial statements.
