The Project Accountant at W.E. O’Neil manages project-level financials and supports accounting processes from Chicago, IL. The role collaborates with the Regional Project Accounting Manager and national teams to maintain accurate project data and streamline workflows.

You will prepare pay applications, process subcontractor invoices, coordinate schedules of values, and ensure timely payments to clients and subcontractors while maintaining compliance and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction or project-based accounting.
• Experience with job costing and subcontractor billing.
• Familiarity with CMiC, Textura, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare owner pay applications and schedules of values.
• Process subcontractor invoices and approvals.
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams.
• Maintain billing and payment workflows and ensure timely payments.
