Job summary

W.E. O’Neil in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Accountant to support project financials and administrative duties across multiple departments. You will manage pay applications, subcontracts, compliance docs, and payment workflows to ensure timely, accurate billing and project cost control.

The role collaborates with National Accounting and Operations, reports to Regional Project Accounting Manager, and requires 3+ years in construction accounting along with proficiency in CMiC and Textura.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction or project-based accounting.
• Strong understanding of job costing, subcontractor billing, and compliance documentation.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage pay applications, including SOV/budgets and billing for general conditions, insurance, and fees.
• Coordinate subcontractor invoices, approvals, and draw processes with Project Manager.
• Review and post invoices and adjustments in CMiC; maintain project cost control and closeout records.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation for lien waivers, tax exemptions, and compliance requirements.
