Path Construction is seeking a qualified Project Accountant to join our organization in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities

1. Set up new projects in the Job Cost System.
2. Process payroll, insurance, and overhead allocations to projects.
3. Review and track general ledger postings of construction draws for multiple projects.
4. Ensure Subcontractor/Supplier Waivers of Lien are received and accurate.
5. Ensure all Path Compliance requirements (W-9s, Insurance Certificates, EEO, etc.) are met by subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Process accounts receivable and manage construction billing and collections.
7. Follow up on outstanding invoices to maintain positive cash flow.
8. Assist with special projects as needed.
9. Ensure contracts and change orders are processed accurately and promptly.
10. Analyze project variances and coordinate corrective actions.
11. Report on project profitability to management.
12. Collaborate with clients to meet reporting needs.
13. Close out project accounts upon completion.
14. Prepare government reports and tax returns related to projects.
15. Compile information for external audits.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• A college degree in accounting or business administration is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction project cost management.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Excel, Sage Construction CRE 300, and Paychex is a plus.
