Job summary

CFS is seeking a Project Accountant to own financials for multiple construction projects in downtown Manhattan. This fully onsite NYC role involves collaborating with project managers and leadership to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will manage budgets, forecasts and cost tracking, with hands-on Sage Intacct experience and strong Excel skills to drive profitability and cost control. Join a fast-paced, hands-on construction finance team.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of project accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Sage Intacct experience (required).
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and construction billing (AIA).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking across multiple construction jobs.
• Prepare job cost reports, variance analysis, and profitability tracking.
• Oversee billing, AIA invoicing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition.
• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.
• Maintain and optimize project data within Sage Intacct.
